The District Prosecutor’s Office in Plovdiv filed an indictment against GM, aged 36. He was handed over to a court for the fact that on February 2, 2021 in Rakovski, district Plovdiv, set fire to property of significant value – an Opel Antara truck, the fire also spread to a Dacia Duster truck and the acts resulted in significant damage totaling BGN 44,525.The crime is qualified under Article 330 para 3 supra para 2 supra para 1 of the Penal Code.
G.M. worked in a bakery company and delivered finished products in various settlements. On February 2, 2021, at 4 o’clock, he arrived in Rakovski. He left snacks for the store chain and headed to the place where the Opel Antara was parked, carrying a can of gasoline.
He flooded part of the car and set it on fire. A nearby Dacia Duster truck caught fire as a result of the blaze, which was spotted by people who reported it to police, and GM was found to have set the car on fire because he learned the owner had made false allegations about his girlfriend.
According to the conclusion of the appraisal auto technical expertise, the value of the two burning cars is BGN 44,525. After the fire, they were burned and unusable. The Plovdiv District Court is about to schedule a preliminary hearing on the case.
