A woman wanted to buy a dog online. She lost 20,000

According to police spokeswoman Soňa Štětínská, the police are currently dealing with a case of a woman from the Karviná region who wanted to make her daughter happy and looked for a puppy in the internet bazaar. The dog was to be sent from Germany.

“According to e-mail instructions, the lady sent the money to an account with the identification data of a certain African republic. However, another e-mail came from an unknown person, as extraordinary payments for transport in the amount of almost 26,000 crowns were required. The seller was apparently accommodating and wanted only half, so the lady paid for it. However, with another demand for the need to pay thousands of crowns for a crate, he has already begun to suspect that he is a victim of fraud. Unfortunately, he does not have a dog and is a total of 20,000 crowns poorer, “said the spokesperson.

In the past, the police in the Karviná region dealt with a similar fraud, which involved a change in the sale of a horse. At that time, the damage caused to the deceived customer amounted to 55 thousand crowns. The perpetrator could not be found and the case had to be adjourned.
