The video has been circulating on social networks for a few hours, on the West Casual group’s Facebook page. We see a group of young people in the Cathedral of Reims, kneeling on prie-dieu. They seem to be having fun making the signs of the cross, and a young girl draws a cross on their foreheads. The video shows a second sequence with this time much more violent images. The group seems to be the same but this time, other young people lecture them, asking them to apologize to Christians. We see in particular one of the young people heavily thrown to the ground. According to Liberation and France 3, which revealed the case, these images date back to last Wednesday.
The Reims prosecutor, Matthieu Bourrette, opened an investigation for “violence in meetings” and “recording and dissemination on social networks of acts of violence”
