Previously, Aude walked 10 kilometers per day, but these days it’s more like 10 kilometers per month.

Her salary fell in the same way: among her employers, few took the step of putting her in partial activity. Its contracts with tourist agencies are counted in hours. “The agencies, it annoys them all this paperwork, for four hours here, and a multitude of speakers”, she explains. Aude lives on her Pôle emploi benefits, her savings, and her husband’s salary. But at the end of May, his indemnities will stop. At 60, she will therefore no longer receive anything. “I don’t think the Chinese are coming back until 2022, so I will retire sooner than expected”, the speaker resolves, reluctantly.
