Serious accident in Sofia. A taxi driver died after being beaten. It all happened due to a dispute over entering a one-way street. The relatives and friends of the deceased met on the spot.
The incident occurred around 6:30 pm, at the intersection of “Riben Boukar” and “Hushov” streets in the “Nursery” neighborhood near the First General Hospital. According to preliminary information, the man would have entered into conflict with the driver of another car. A fight ensued, after which he died.
A 24-year-old man known to the police was arrested for the murder.
One of the taxi driver’s friends told bTV that the attackers were four people and they were aggressive. They pulled the driver out of the car and punched him as he fell, his relative said.
According to him, the victim managed to call his brother, but when he arrived he fell to the ground.
The deceased was the father of three children, leaving a family with three girls. For the past 10 years he has been working as taxi driver. According to his friends, he was a good person and was not aggressive.
Three and a half hours after the accident, a forensic team has not yet arrived on the scene. Many people have gathered and demanded justice, a functioning prosecutor’s office, court and police.
In the case, the procedural-investigative acts continue.
