The average monthly temperature in most areas will be 5-15 degrees above normal (15 ° C to 25 ° C), and in places where more fog and clouds are expected, especially in the valleys and part of the Danube plain, it will be about 2-3 degrees above normal. This is according to the forecast of the Meteorologists of Meteo Balkans for November.
Precipitation is lower than usual for the month, and in the western parts it will be from 50 to 80 l / sq m, and in the eastern half – up to 30-50 l / sq m.
The weather during the first decade of November
November comes with spring temperatures and pleasant sunny weather. The reason for this is a prevailing anticyclonic situation – usually the weather at night is clear and during the day – mostly sunny. Lowland mists are also possible. Daytime temperatures will be atypical for the season and will be between 22-25 degrees Celsius. Even temperatures above 25 degrees are not excluded, mainly in the Upper Thracian plain.
Break weather is expected from 5 to 7 November according to the European medium-range forecast model and that of the GFS. Then it is also possible a considerable rainfall, but after this period the weather will be uniform at least until the beginning of the second decade of November.
In the new month, precipitation and a slight cooling are expected also in the period 10-13 November and around 18-20. They will be more important then in the western regions.
The weather in the second decade of November
It will start with rain, mainly in the western and central part of the country. In some areas of southern and eastern Bulgaria, they will be accompanied by thunder. The reason for the bad weather is an expected series of Mediterranean cyclones. Temperatures will drop and will be around the climatic norm. Above 1500-1700 meters above sea level it will also snow.
The morning will be cold with freezing conditions in the western fields. Mists are also possible, which will dissipate after 11pm.
The weather during the third decade of November
At the creation date of the forecast (28.10.), Most climate models predict that our country will fall under the influence of a series of cyclones passing through or near the Balkan peninsula. Precipitation is expected.
Towards the end of the month the mornings will be cool and in the valleys – with reduced visibility. The expected minimum temperatures on the high western fields and in some places in Dobruja will be as low as 3-5 degrees and daytime temperatures will reach 9-14 ° С.
