An official source within the Zamalek club confirmed that in the coming days, the team and the technical and administrative staff are to undergo medical swabs for early detection of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).
Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Zamalek Club, had held an important meeting today, Wednesday, to discuss many of the files concerning the club.
A source in Zamalek told Yalla Koura, “The board of directors decided that the football team will undergo medical swabs in the coming days in preparation for the resumption of training.”
He concluded, “The date has not been determined yet, we await the decision of the medical device in this regard.”
Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, has announced that the club has refused to complete the Premier League competition this season.
The Confederation of African Football (CA) announced earlier its decision regarding the resumption of the African Champions League matches during next September without specifying the date of the semi-final matches that are scheduled to be played in the one-match system.
And the past days have seen that Al-Douri clubs conduct medical swabs for players, technical and administrative devices and workers, with the exception of Zamalek, and the clubs underwent two surveys, while Ismaili underwent one.
