A sleeping tourist is robbed in front of a video surveillance camera in Old Riga In the spotlight

CCTV cameras in the capital often help to catch offenders at the time of the crime, but unfortunately do not always punish them. The police recorded the theft with the help of cameras and a moment later detained the garnadze himself, but, unfortunately, the criminals soon had to be released.

On the night of the holiday, the employees of the city video surveillance center in Livu Square noticed a young man sleeping on a bench. Realizing that nothing was wrong with him at that time, the inspectors decided to look around – and I must say – not in vain this time. Only a moment after the camera slipped to the side bench, it was discovered that another sleeping holidaymaker was already surrounded by a bunch of Old Riga plenum and idle people.

One person sitting next to a foreign citizen, as it turned out, looked at his pockets and took out his personal belongings. One could see that in a cell phone as well. Our employees immediately announced this to the nearest crew, ”says Jevgēņijs Platais, Head of the Operational Management and Safety Supervision Department of RPP.

However, disappointment soon followed, because regardless of the fact that the theft was even filmed, this time the garnadzis will escape punishment. The victim was neither willing nor able to engage in dealing with police officers and paperwork.

“A foreigner who had been abusing alcoholic beverages refused to submit an application to the police during the negotiations, but this will not go unnoticed,” Platais points out.

Presumably, it is only a matter of time before the police and the shrimp meet again, because it is quite clear that what happened is not all the weakness or coincidence of the moment, but the way of life. A lifestyle that is likely to take you back behind bars.
