A 31-year-old man from Eindhoven was at Dr. Cuyperslaan in Eindhoven on Tuesday around noon died when he collided with a police car on his motorcycle. The police announced it.
It is not yet clear how the accident happened. Another unit is investigating the circumstances. This is the Road Accident Analysis Department of the Zeeland-West Brabant Police. It is standard practice and should ensure an objective investigation, police said.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident in the immediate vicinity of the collision. After the report of the clash, the firefighters and the ambulance also intervened.
Part of Dr. Cuyperslaan, near the intersection with Woenselsestraat, has been cordoned off for hours with red and white tapes for investigation. Debris from (one of) two vehicles was lying on the road surface. There was also a light pole on the ground.
Nothing is known about the victim. It is also unclear whether anyone in the police car was injured.
