THE PRINCE BECAME KING
As the new king, Akeem therefore has new responsibilities, such as finding his son, the heir to the throne. His father orders him to return to New York, where he had left a few years earlier in order to find love. Accompanied by his faithful friend Semmi, the new king will cross the district of Queens in search of his offspring of which he knows nothing. Obviously, Akeem’s new adventures on the American continent will be strewn with crazy pitfalls, but also hilarious reunions.
THE ORIGINAL CASTING IS AT THE MEETING
To the delight of early fans, Eddy Murphy is reprising his iconic role of Akeem. At his side, we find Arsenio Hall, but also the actor James Earl Jones in the role of the father, alias king Jaffe Joffer, as was already the case in the first part released in 1988. New faces also join the cast , like Leslie Jones, Wesley Snipes or Tracy Morgan and Bella Murphy, the daughter of Eddy Murphy.
