Al-Marsad Newspaper: An official prosecution source said that the public prosecutor’s office for assaults on people has launched an investigation with an expatriate accused of violating the provisions of the health professions practice system.
The investigation procedures revealed that the aforementioned posted false medical information through his account in a social media program, gave a lecture in a hotel about it and provided what he claims were medical examinations despite not having an academic qualification in the medical specialty, in addition to the absence of a regular document from the competent authorities, he is authorized to carry out health practices, or to provide medical opinions to patients.
The source underlined the maintenance of criminal protection against some medical practices, the care of the interests protected within it and the safeguarding of people’s health and general safety, in accordance with the practice system of health professions, subject to the private rights arising from these abuses.
The source stressed the prohibition of impersonating any of the titles of exercise or of practicing health professions, or using advertising means in this, without obtaining a license from the competent authority, and that this requires criminal liability.
