The first finalist of the FIFA Club World Cup has been determined: The Mexican club Tigres UANL defeated Palmeiras Sao Paulo from Brazil on Sunday just 1: 0 (0: 0). The French scored the decisive goal André-Pierre Gignac with a penalty in the 54th minute. Rony’s later equalizer was withdrawn due to a previous offside position. The winner of the CONCACAF Champions League Tigres could thus be the opponent of FC Bayern Munich in the final, provided that the Munich team reach the final.

The team of coach Hansi Flick has to face the African Champions League winner Al-Ahly in the semi-finals on Monday at the Al Rayyan Stadium (7 p.m., live and free of charge at Bild.de). Bayern had to struggle with unpleasant adversities on arrival. The Munich flight was only able to take off from Berlin towards Qatar with a delay of around seven hours.
