“The inability of the Ministry of Interior, the investigation and the prosecutor’s office to work together shows that there is deinstitutionalization in Bulgaria and we are failing as a state. This is a feast for organized crime in Bulgaria, “Avramov stressed.
“The prime minister says he expects the prosecution to be on the side of the Bulgarian people. The prosecution must be on the side of the law. On the other hand, GERB says that democracy is threatened. No, Borissov’s detention does not threaten democracy. It was just a stupid arrest. There may have been a decent detention, but it was an unnecessary arrest. Where is his urgency? ”The political scientist asked.
For him, the message is that there is “competition from political tribes.” According to Avramov, it is not the job of the prime minister to testify against Boyko Borissov and Vladislav Goranov. According to him, the job of Kiril Petkov is not to administer justice, but to ensure the development of the country, to create a consensus, to lead the country forward and not to fail.
“A gambling boss has testified and it is clear from witnesses in this case that he spent some time with the finance minister and the prime minister. If you talk to the Minister of Finance, you either have to take money from him or give it to him. What matters to us is what conversations are held. However, this is not the role of Kiril Petkov. His role is, since there are five options for financing Bulgaria after the coronavirus, at least one of them to be accepted, “said Dimitar Avramov.
Regarding the showy arrests a few days ago, both sides are definitely losers for him, because GERB could not explain its position and how they defend democracy, and the police have made unnecessary arrests of three people.

In general, however, according to Avramov, the position of the prosecutor’s office is the worst, because it has shown inability to work with the executive branch.
Regarding the controversial topic of the introduction of force majeure, which pitted the BSP against “We continue the change”, Avramov is of the opinion that this is a final, non-market measure.
“I do not think it needs to be introduced. Other EU countries are doing well without him. There is no reason to impose force majeure. “We have a stable economy, it is connected to the EU, and we must stop crying that this or that has increased,” he said.
