Following the mid-Lent emptying this morning, a police officer was injured in a stampede, while trying to prevent the carnival parade on the highway. It was indeed when the parade entered the highway at the Lézarde that things got tense. The police were the target of projectiles and tear gas was released, to disperse the perpetrators.
