Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The rupiah exchange rate against the United States (US) dollar weakened slightly in trading this week. This movement occurred amid a wave of strength in the US dollar because the US central bank (Federal Reserve / The Fed) is expected to immediately raise its benchmark interest rate next month.
So far this week, the rupiah recorded a decline of 13 points or 0.09% against the US dollar in general terms point-to-point. The rupiah ended the week at Rp 14,356/US$.
