The Hoge Vosbergstraat in Rumst was flooded on Friday morning. Not due to excessive rainfall, but due to an empty water reservoir of a horticultural company. Perhaps more than a million gallons of water flowed from the reservoir. Four cellars were flooded and the water also flowed to Lage Vosbergstraat.
The water in the reservoir served to water the crops in the greenhouses. It is still unclear how the reservoir could suddenly fail. No one was injured.
