The head of the household who tried to commit suicide after killing his wife and mother-in-law died on the banks of a stream in Thiruvananthapuram. Ali Akbar, 56, died. After killing both of them, Ali Akbar tried to set himself on fire and was undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. It is reported that a family quarrel is behind the attack.

Last Sunday, the double murder that shook the nation took place in Aruvikara Valapetti. He first attacked his wife and mother Shahira who was sleeping at home. Shahira was cut and died on the spot. Then Ali Akbar also beheaded his wife Mumtaz. She is a school teacher. Mumtaz suffered burns all over his body and died while undergoing treatment.
