According to our colleagues from The voice of the NorthFerdinand Aouri, 35, who was incarcerated after appearing before the examining magistrate last Friday, is suspected of stabbing 16-year-old girl Laura to death while returning home after to have left high school. The man who was previously convicted of murder in 2007 denies the facts.
On Thursday January 30, shortly before 6 p.m., Laura, 16, was discovered lifeless in Sallaumines. When the firefighters from the Lens, Harnes and Avion rescue centers arrived, as did Arras’ SMUR, they could not have done anything for the victim, who was in cardiopulmonary arrest. The young woman had two stab wounds, one in the chest, the other in the throat.
This Monday morning, the public prosecutor of Béthune, accompanied by the interregional director of the PJ of Lille, announced the arrest, then the indictment and the placement in pre-trial detention of Ferdinand Aouri, 35 years old, Friday. Released from prison eight months before the events, he denies them.
It was notably his DNA, found on Laura’s glasses, that confused him.
