The Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office has prosecuted a 49-year-old man for blackmailing and inflicting light bodily harm in conditions of domestic violence.
On 12.08.2021 at about 5.50 pm in the residential area Mladost 3, Sofia, the accused T.P. forced GV to hand over to him an amount of BGN 700 and a ring worth BGN 20, threatening her during a telephone conversation with violence – that she would be flooded with acid and disfigured. He also told her that he would post a video of her with intimate content on the Internet and send it to her parents, and if she did not give him BGN 700, will file a complaint with the police that she stole them from him.
On October 28, 2021 at about 10.30 pm in the city of Sofia on Trayanova Vrata Street, T.P. by punching Yu.N. minor bodily injury resulting in injuries to the surface of the chest and abdomen. The act was committed in conditions of domestic violence.
In both cases pre-trial proceedings were instituted for a crime under Art. 213a, para. 1 of the Penal Code and Art. 131 para 1 item 5a, in conjunction with art. 130 para 2 of the Penal Code. In the course of the investigation it was established that the accused had an affair with both women. He has been convicted many times. Given the acts and the danger G.K. to commit a new crime, a supervising prosecutor ordered his detention for up to 72 hours. A request is to be submitted to the court to take a measure of restraint “detention in custody” against the accused, the press center of the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office announced.
