wThe bride backed out of the wedding after she didn’t like the wedding dress provided by Ran’s family. The incident took place in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. The bride refused to marry because the lehenga provided by the groom’s family was cheap and of poor quality.
According to the Times of India report, the groom’s father gave the girl a lehenga worth Rs 10,000 as a wedding dress and the girl didn’t like it and informed the groom’s family that she was withdrawing from the marriage.
The engagement took place in June of this year. The wedding was to take place on November 5th. But a few days earlier, dramatic events took place.
Then there was a verbal argument between the two families. The police intervened on the matter. They were pacified and sent back. But the preparation for the wedding including the letter of invitation
When everything was completed, the groom’s family returned to the police station asking for compensation. According to the Times of India report, a discussion was held and the bride’s family paid compensation.
