Imam Ashour, the Zamalek player and the Egyptian Olympic team, is awaiting a double penalty, after his actions in the Zamalek match against Z (formerly Egypt Club).
Imam Ashour was sent off in the match, after his violent interference with Islam Al-Far, the player of the opposing team.
A source within the Competitions Committee confirmed that Imam Ashour will be subjected to a certain punishment as a result of direct expulsion, which is the suspension of two matches, and it may increase if the referee mentioned in his report that the decision was the result of intentional harm.
And the source added that there is another incident, which is the spitting of the Zamalek player in the face of the opponent, which is a case if it was transferred to the Disciplinary Committee, as the regulation provides for suspension of 4 matches, as a result of spitting on any element of the game except for the referee.
Ashour was subjected to a number of penalties in the past period, including the suspension of 10 matches for rioting in the Egyptian Super match, then the suspension of a verbal match against the opponent in the Zamalek match against Al-Masry Al-Port Said in the league.
Zamalek defeated FC Egypt with two goals to one goal in the match that was held in the framework of the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, which is currently being held at the new Suez Stadium, and qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament and faces the vanguards of the army.

The team will enter a closed camp next Monday in a Cairo hotel, in preparation for the Al-Ahly confrontation.
