There is a fire in a garage and in a car in Veråsvegen in Alver. Police say the fire has spread to a wall of a residential building. No one should be missed or injured.

– The fire has spread to the house. But everyone has been accounted for, that is what we know now, says Helge Lund in the fire service.

At a quarter to twelve they were notified of the fire. He says they got a couple of propane bottles out of the garage before the fire took them. Three stations, from Mastrevik, Lindås and Knarvik, are now moving out.

Not under control

A little over half past one on Tuesday night, Lund reports that they are working on a small internal fire in the house.

– The house is now pressurized to get control of it.

0041, the fire service comes with the following message on Twitter:

«The fire is not under control. Possible spread for roof construction ».

No danger of spreading to other houses has been reported.

Hear the bang

Helge Fjellanger is a neighbor of the fire in Lindås. He says that it was a double garage with cars that caught fire. Earlier last night, the fire brigade said that they had gotten several propane bottles out of the garage. Fjellanger says it narrowed well.

– It was just like a firework here at times. People were really scared.

He is unsure of what crashed but suspects it was one of the cars. Just below the fire are several homes, he says.

– People came out of here from there but they were afraid to move their cars away. It simmered and slammed close to them.

Burning in the attic

Just before half past one on Tuesday night, Lund has just been in contact with the crews who are working to put out the fire.

– What I am told is that it is a fully developed room fire. That is, that the whole room in the attic is burning.

Smoke divers are deployed as part of the effort to extinguish the fire.

– There is no danger of spreading to other houses, says Lund.
