A documentary on mental health

More than ever, mental health is a hot topic. Many Quebecers have seen theirs deteriorate in recent months with the COVID-19 pandemic. But even today, opening up to your problems remains difficult for many people.

It is this reality that Hugo Rozon wants to demystify in the documentary The 108 Journey. The 25-year-old takes us through his daily life, that of someone struggling with bipolarity.

To find peace, he left Montreal to take a road trip in India and Nepal. The documentary, co-produced with his friend Mathieu Perrault Lapierre, follows him on his journey during which he decides to have a positive vision of mental illness. He wants his approach to make others want to open up more.

“If I do it, maybe it’ll encourage other people to do it. Even today, I think people have a hard time showing it. Already there, it would be a very big step if people could open up more. If my film can help a little to do that, that would be my biggest reward ”, explains Hugo Rozon.

The 108 Journey will be available for free, starting January 28, on the website the108journey.com. A discussion will take place on Facebook after the film has premiered.
