A “clone” of the Deposit Guarantee Fund was discovered in Ukraine

In March 2021, a “financial company” was registered in Ukraine, which completely duplicates the name of the Fund.

The Fund for Guaranteeing Deposits of Individuals has discovered a twin company, to which it has nothing to do. About it informs press service of FGVFL on Monday, 26 July.

FGVFL has nothing to do with the twin company “Financial Company” Deposit Guarantee Fund “, registered on March 25, 2021 and having the EDRPOU code 44085785.

“We urge everyone to be careful when concluding various kinds of transactions with this financial company. In turn, the Fund for Guaranteeing Deposits of Individuals has already turned to law enforcement agencies, in particular to the National Police, with a request to study the activities of the namesake company and take appropriate measures in order to prevent possible fraudulent actions, “- said in the message.

So far it has been established that the “clone” in its activities noted:

  • construction of residential and non-residential buildings;

  • other types of monetary intermediation;

  • other types of lending;

  • provision of other financial services;

The FGVFL added that among the founders of the twin company there are unscrupulous borrowers of one of the liquidated banks.

“The delay period of which, at the time of sale, was about 10 years,” the Fund stressed.

We will remind that earlier in Ukraine they detained scammers who cheated Ukrainians for 250 million… The organizers of the scheme offered citizens to make money on cryptocurrency by creating a fictitious online exchange.

It was also reported that in Kiev exposed a cyber group that embezzled millions of hryvnias… Illegal business was organized by two citizens of Ukraine and a foreigner. Investigative actions on the fact of the crime are ongoing.
