A car was engulfed in flames on Saturday on the road between Soyhières and Movelier. The incident occurred around noon. The four occupants, including two children, began to be bothered by the smell of smoke about 2 km from the village of Movelier. Shortly thereafter, they noticed smoke and flames coming from the hood. The driver immediately stopped her vehicle and everyone left to take shelter. The car then caught fire. It was completely destroyed despite the intervention of the SIS Haut-Plateau firefighters. Part of the grassy slope was damaged by the flames. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. No one was hurt.
A cantonal police patrol went to the scene to find out. The road was closed for approximately three hours. / comm-alr
