NEW YORK – The New York City Police released surveillance video showing a violent robbery against a 68-year-old man in Brooklyn.
Authorities reported that the attack occurred on Saturday, around 9:05 am, on the corner of Along Avenue Y Barbey Street, when the suspect was in a Citibike and approached the victim, a 68-year-old man.
At that moment, the alleged thief touched the victim’s pockets and demanded that he hand over his belongings.
The victim, authorities said, put up resistance and the suspect began beating and kicking him in the face and body before fleeing with the victim’s cell phone and silver chain.
The 68-year-old man was transported to a local hospital after ending up with a broken wrist and nose, as well as suffering lacerations all over his body. It is in stable condition.
