A 12-year-old boy was fatally hit by a car this Friday, August 20, rue Courteline, in the town of Montlouis-sur-Loire. Around 2 p.m., the victim ran out of the house where she resides, a house which adjoins the road. The boy was struck by a female driver in shock.
The gendarmerie specifies that the latter did not commit any faults. She was traveling at normal speed and was neither alcoholic nor under the influence of narcotics.
The gendarmes remained on site until 3:30 p.m. to avoid the accident and facilitate the work of the emergency services and in particular the transfer of the child to the Clocheville hospital in Tours where he died.
