PDI staff arrived Wednesday night at the home of Nicolás Zepeda to begin his extradition to France, where he must face justice for the murder of his former partner Narumi Kurosaki.
Detectives must deliver it to Interpol personnel, who will take it by plane to the European country.
Zepeda was under house arrest at his residence in Viña del Mar, a measure that was lifted this day to make the transfer a reality.
According to the investigation by the French prosecution, Zepeda threatened, spied and deliberately smothered his partner for almost two years, and of which the body is still missing.
