One person was slightly injured in a traffic accident yesterday in the Sonnhalde street in Freiburg.
According to the current investigation, a 21-year-old driver of a black Mercedes drove up Rotackerstrasse in a northerly direction at around 7.30 p.m. Presumably in order to impress the driver of the BMW Mini driving in front of him, the 21-year-old is said to have hit the ground running and let the engine roar. A white Mercedes also drove behind the black Mercedes. According to the current state of knowledge, all three vehicles belonged together.
In the area where it joins the Sonnhalde street, the BMW driver in front slowed down. The 21-year-old then overtook on the left by driving past the traffic island on the opposite lane side.
This resulted in a collision with an 18-year-old car driver who was driving properly in the south.
The accident caused the 19-year-old passenger to be slightly injured in a properly driving car. Both vehicles were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed.
The property damage is estimated at around 25,000 euros. The driver’s license of the 21-year-old who caused the accident was confiscated.
