Municipal 2020: list mergers, maintenance, quadrangular, this is what awaits us for the 2nd round in Burgundy

In Burgundy, the first round did not make it possible to decide between the candidates in 302 municipalities. It is in Côte d’Or that there are the most municipalities where a second round is necessary:

  • 138 in Côte-d’Or
  • 74 in the Yonne
  • 56 in Saône-et-Loire
  • 34 in the Nièvre

Often, the negotiations lasted until Monday, June 1. Here is what the second round will look like in the main Burgundian municipalities. With some surprises!

Only one list in La Charité-sur Loire

The outgoing mayor Henri Valès, various left, could expect to find two opponents. The long wait between the two towers and heated discussions finally led Jacky Tournefier and Philippe Pavie to throw in the towel.

Quadrangular

No merger in the municipalities of Sens, Prémery or Cluny.
4 lists are also announced in Charnay-les-Mâcon, but there after merging those of Laurent Voisin and Serge Gaulias.

Other mergers

In Auxonne, Jacques-François Coiquil came out on top in the first round with 43.7%
will face Fabrice Vauchey, whose list has been merged with that of Nathalie Roussel.

In Montceau-les-Mines, the lists on the left of Laurent Selvez and Eric Commeau have only one face to Marie-Claude Jarrot.

In Auxerre, Guy Ferez, beaten by 4% by Crescent Marault joins forces with one of the ecological lists, that of Maud Navarre

In a duel with the same lists

In Plombières-les-Dijon Monique Bayard, outgoing will face Céline Maglica.

At Autun, Frédéric Brochot will face Vincent Chauvet, 58 votes separating them in the first round.
