PT Pertamina’s oil refinery in Dumai, Riau, exploded tonight. As a result, houses and mosques around the factory were damaged.
Reported detikSumatra, Sunday (2/4/2023), the explosion incident was confirmed by the Dumai Police Chief, AKBP Nurhadi Ismanto. Even Nurhadi was already at the crime scene (TKP).
“Yes (the kitchen of the Pertamina RU II Dumai refinery exploded). This is again at the TKP,” said Nurhadi, Saturday (1/4).
Information received by detikSumut, the explosion at the Pertamina Putri Seven Refinery, Dumai, made people’s houses vibrate. In addition, there is also a mosque ceiling collapsed due to strong vibrations.
“The factory exploded (exploded),” said the video recorder while showing the roof ceiling of the mosque collapsing.
While residents at the location, Rahmat confirmed that there was a strong vibration during the explosion. It also made people scattered.
“Residents’ houses were damaged, which is a radius near the refinery. There is also a mosque (the ceiling collapsed due to the explosion). Around a 3 KM radius,” he said.
