One person died this morning in an accident on the N34, another victim was injured. Three cars and a truck were involved in the accident.
The road is currently closed. Due to the accident, there is a traffic jam on the N34, both in the direction of Groningen and in the direction of Gieten. The ANWB expects the road to remain closed until 12:00. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The accident occurred near Zuidlaren. Firefighters, several ambulances and the mobile medical team, among others, arrived at the scene of the accident to provide assistance. For one of the victims, that help came too late.
