Donna Vekic ended up with Danielle Collins after a battle lasting more than three hours and with a break that forced the game to be postponed until today San Diego. The Croatian beat number 19 in the WTA rankings with a final score of 6-4, 4-6 and 7-6 (2). In a few hours Donna will have the most complicated event currently on the women’s circuit: Iga Swiatek, even if nothing seems impossible after beating Maria Sakkari, Karolina Pliskova, Aryna Sabalenka and, finally, Danielle Collins.
