The Russians could use rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers when shelling a colony with Ukrainian prisoners of war, according to acting regiment commander Nikita Nadtochiy.

The Russian occupiers could use rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers (RPO) Shmel to kill Ukrainian defenders in Yelenovka, Donetsk region. Such RPOs quickly burn out oxygen and the victim quickly burns out. This was stated by the acting commander of Azov, Major Nikita Nadtochy with the call sign One-Two in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, published on Tuesday, August 9.

“I’m more inclined to believe that it’s just… the so-called Bumblebee was used. It works like that. That is, in a second, oxygen completely burns out, and a person burns out in a matter of seconds. I don’t consider any other points that Russia tried at all in the first days to publish and somehow impose an opinion. This is out of the question. This simply cannot be. It can be seen that, most likely, they worked with Bumblebees. Just a planned action. This is also evidenced by the fact that not a single colony worker was injured there. This can’t be happening either,” he said.

According to him, he learned about the tragedy a little earlier than the media wrote about it. The Ukrainian defenders almost immediately realized that this was not a shelling.

The serviceman noted that on Thursday night, July 28, the guys from there called him and said that they were “working” on them.

Nadtochy immediately called back “to certain authorities”, which, perhaps, could know something about this “work”. The latter called back and said that none of the artillery brigades received coordinate data for testing at all. In the morning, these same guys called him and confirmed that there were dead and wounded. At the same time, they began to doubt themselves that these were precisely “parishes.”

“That is, most likely, they just heard pops, an explosion, and then they already saw through the windows that a glow was burning somewhere. You saw the video – there are nearby buildings, they stand with windows. This does not happen. A blast wave from a projectile or from missiles leave no windows when the buildings are so close,” the acting commander of the Azov regiment added.

Reactive infantry flamethrower RPO-A Shmel – Soviet and Russian reactive infantry flamethrower disposable. It is a thermobaric rocket-propelled grenade stuffed with fire mixture.

During the explosion, the high-temperature pulse is accompanied by a sharp pressure drop, which is formed due to the explosion of the fuel-air mixture.

Destroys all living things up to 80 m³; affected area: in an open area – from 50 m², in a confined space – up to 80 m².

Recall that the “DNR” stated that during the shelling of the colony in Yelenovka 47 people died, 75 were injuredincluding eight guards.

In turn, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out deliberate targeted shelling correctional institution in Yelenovka, and statements about alleged shelling by the Ukrainian side are an outright lie and a provocation.

It was also reported that the GUR they see no reason to trust the lists of the Russian Federation on victims in Elenovke.
