As a result of the strike, in combination with passport crisisthere has been chaos at several airports, and Norwegians who love to travel may now risk not being able to travel or go on summer holidays.
At present, several are flooded with messages from airlines that flights are being canceled. Both NHO and NHO Luftfart have announced a lockout in the conflict with the aircraft technicians from night to Sunday 26 June, if they do not find a solution. This means that aircraft technicians who have so far not been taken out on strike cannot work either.
Tandberg now risks that the flight to both Italy and Spain may be canceled.
According to the plan, she will first travel to Italy on “glamping” on Saturday morning with the children. The trip was planned a long time ago, but now they risk – like many others – that the plane does not go.
– Flights are canceled every single day, so you do not know what it will be like before the day itself. I hope it works out, but have not heard anything more about the trip so far, so we just have to wait and see, she tells Dagbladet, and continues:
– Will you receive compensation if the trip does not work out?
– No, that’s what’s difficult. I have booked flights with Norwegian and the “glamping” in Italy separately, so I do not get my stay covered. It is a pity for everyone who is in the same situation. I also think it’s boring not even being able to get my money back.
– I think you get covered up to 6000 kroner from the airline on the ticket. But it does not help if you do not get something back on what costs the most. It is not very beneficial, she adds.
– How much money are you talking about that you risk losing?
– In total, it is probably around 100,000 kroner, including the trip to Spain. Then we are talking about flights, accommodation and travel with children.

Delayed travel
The 29-year-old follows up with the fact that she has received tips from several followers that she can drive downhill instead. However, she is determined that this will not happen.
– It does not help to take a car and drive down, and it takes a long time. My children are too car-sick, you have also booked the dates you have, and before you get there half the holiday is gone, she says.
Despite the strike, the 29-year-old will not think negatively until the trip is canceled. Admittedly, it is the children she thinks about the most, since they have enjoyed themselves a lot.

The trip to Italy should actually have taken place two years ago. But the same year the family was to leave, the corona pandemic announced its arrival. Since then, the holiday trip has been postponed.
– We have of course been very happy. At the same time, I also understand the need for strikes and that this is what is needed sometimes, I have respect for that. But then I think that it should still be allowed to say that it is boring then, if you lose your trip.
