Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan opened his voice again. He said that the Covid-19 social assistance (bansos) corruption case had a value of Rp 100 trillion.
However, he could not confirm it because he needed further research on this case.
Novel said the covid-19 social assistance case in which the KPK carried out a catch operation was only for the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings. This case has already entered trial.
However, said Novel, similar cases also occurred in all regions in Indonesia with the same pattern, so that it needed further investigation.
“This is a case that must be investigated further. This case is worth tens of trillions. In fact, I think one hundred trillion is the value of the project and this is the biggest corruption I have ever noticed,” Novel told CNN Indonesia, Monday (17/5).
Novel sees that there are similarities in the patterns of social assistance corruption in the same areas as DKI Jakarta and its surroundings. He assessed that the social assistance case must be followed up.
“This is a case that must be investigated further,” he said.
