With police officers on his ear, he was hit with an arrow in the back, but continued to help with evacuation and keep eye contact with the perpetrator.
Outside the store, he was greeted by a stressed lady who told what was happening inside the store. He then calls the police patrol and says that he has been notified that someone is shooting with an arrow, and that he goes in to see what is happening.
It is 6.15 pm when Rigoberto enters the doors of Coop Extra. Inside the shop, he quickly met Bråthen:
– There he stands. With a bow in hand, looking straight at me. I look back, and I have to look three times, because I have an arrow in my back. I’m still talking on the phone with the patrol, and I say, ‘He hit me.’ She asks me what I am saying, and I say, “He shot me with a bow and arrow. I’m standing with an arrow out of my back now. Then I hear her throw herself into the connection and say “policeman shot with a bow and arrow in the back”. I am not in pain at all, but I do not want to move my arm, and continue to hold it and the phone up to my head, he says.
