Sieg De Doncker, known from the youth series ‘Helden’, will play in the VTM soap ‘Familie’. The presenter and actor will soon take on the role of Koen Peyskens. It concerns a new character “that will provide a real shock wave”, VTM reports in a press release.

Sieg De Doncker had his first shooting day on the set of ‘Familie’ on Thursday September 30. His character, who will make his appearance in the soap this autumn, will cause commotion in the storyline around Lars (a role by Kürt Rogiers), Raven (Aaron Blommaert) and Leon (Herbert Flack), as can be read in the press release. “The arrival of my character Koen will have the effect of a small tornado”, says De Doncker himself.
“Koen Peyskens is becoming a serious jammer,” the actor continues. “A series like family needs it every now and then, even if it sometimes destroys a lot. When I read the screenplay, I immediately knew that this role suited me. It felt good and I was completely on board with the story. My first day of shooting was very exciting and also a bit intimidating, because my first scene was one with Kürt Rogiers. But this definitely leaves you wanting more. Koen will certainly surprise the viewers.”
Sieg De Doncker is not only known for the Ketnet series ‘Helden’, but also as a presenter of ‘Flanders holiday country’, ‘1000 suns’ and ‘A fresh start with vtwonen’. In 2017 he came third in the singing program ‘Steracteur sterartiest’ and since this year he also plays in the telenovelle ‘Lisa’.
