Badminton Results PON XX Papua 2021: West Java and Central Java Run Smoothly in the inaugural Men’s Team Match : Okezone Sports

JAYAPURA – The badminton sport has started its matches today, Monday (5/10/2021) at the National Sports Week event (PON) XX Papua 2021. Taking place at GOR Waringin, Jayapura, Papua, the match starts at 07.00 WIB and will hold four matches in the men’s and women’s team numbers to start the popular sport in the country.

In the men’s doubles number, two favorite contingents, namely West Java and Central Java, competed. West Java meets representatives of the host Papua and Central Java meets West Papua.

While in the women’s team, DKI Jakarta met Bengkulu. Then Papua against North Maluku.

As a result, the West Java men’s team team succeeded in securing victory after crushing Papua with a landslide score of 5-0. West Java itself is predicted to show its toughness because it is strengthened by several PBSI national training players.

The first point for West Java was contributed by the men’s singles Alvi Wijaya Chairullah. Then four consecutive points were presented by Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Pramudya Kusumawardana, Panji Ahmad Maulana, Abiyyu Fauzan Majid/M Fachrikar P Mansur, and Syabda Perkasa Belawa.

Just like the West Java team, the Central Java men’s team team also managed to sweep away victory when they met representatives from West Papua.

Central Java, which was strengthened by Bobby Setiabudi’s men’s single, did not encounter any significant difficulties. The match was completed with a score of 5-0.

In the women’s team event, Papua was dominant against North Maluku. Papua, which was strengthened by one of the PBSI national training players, Asty Dwi Widyaningrum, was able to win a landslide victory with a score of 3-0.

Finally, there is DKI Jakarta which has a little trouble facing Bengkulu. Winning 2-1, the women’s singles of Pelatnas PBSI, namely Ruselli Hartawan and Stephanie Widjaja, became the key to DKI Jakarta’s success in crushing Bengkulu.
