It will take the form of televised talk shows that participants can follow live. This 6th edition aims to share legislative advances on the development of very high speed broadband and to raise awareness of the fiber optic ecosystem on the importance of digital trust, particularly during this period of heavy use of new technologies.
The first discussions will concern the legislative aspect and in particular the law 121-12 promulgated in 2019 which addresses the sharing of telecommunications infrastructures. The law on PPP, whose draft decree will soon see the light of day, will also be presented as an alternative to be considered in the rapid development of very high speed in Morocco. Testimonials from success stories on PPPs in Africa will be shared at the end of the first plenary by the Orange group and Huawei Morocco.
The second plenary session will be an opportunity for the entire very high speed and construction ecosystem to learn about the concrete solutions that ensure the digital security of connected buildings. Orange Cyber Defense will raise awareness of the flaws related to video surveillance, which is not immune to cyber threats, and explain how cameras can even increase the risk of intrusion into buildings without a well-locked digital security system. In the same vein, Huawei Morocco will exhibit its cutting-edge solutions for smart homes and the possibilities offered by very fast and secure wifi transmission. The second plenary will end with the intervention of the APEBI telecommunications commission which will speak on the role it can have as a federation in the digital transformation of the construction and building sector.
The participants in the round table of the second day of June 16 will ask a central question: why does copper continue to be deployed on new real estate projects, in a context of strong use of digital?
This workshop will include the Fixed BU of Orange Morocco, the Regional Council of the Order of Architects of Casablanca and the Center, the NOVEC design office as well as a representative of the National Federation of Real Estate Developers. To close this second session, video testimonials of medium-standing and social real estate projects connected to fiber will be broadcast.
