“You are a woman, you have nothing to say to me”

Meissen / Radebeul. It happens that defendants misbehave in court. But there is seldom such a cheeky, brazen, disrespectful, impudent, uncouth defendant like the 24-year-old Radebeuler. Especially the misogyny of the German, who looks southern and has an Arabic surname, is terrifying. That is why he is sitting in court, among other things.

The fact that there is a woman sitting at the judges’ table doesn’t seem to suit him at all. He shows no respect, keeps talking, even interrupting her. At the end of the negotiation there will be a scandal.

Cigarette smoke blown in the face

But he doesn’t only have problems with women, also with police officers. “There are a lot of stupid people, including in the police,” he says. When he is checked by the police in Radebeul and asked to identify himself because he is suspected of robbery, he blows cigarette smoke in the face of a policeman to show his contempt. A 48-year-old policewoman, she is also the highest-ranking officer that day, intervenes and wants to have a calming and de-escalating effect.

What helps other people turns into the opposite here. “You are a woman, you have nothing to say to me,” he yells at the officer. He was aggressive, arrogant and uncooperative from the start, she says in court. In the end he identifies himself, gives the police his ID with the words “You can keep it” and gets on the train.

Rioted in the patrol car

There is also trouble on a January day at the Großenhainer Schützenhaus. In any case, a New Year’s celebration is said to have taken place there on January 5, 2019. Right in the middle of the action is the 24-year-old Radebeuler. He had probably already had a lot of alcohol in Dresden before, and then drove to Grossenhain with his friend. In front of the rifle house, he is said to have thrown a lighter at a slowly passing Audi at around 3:30 a.m. There was damage to the bonnet according to the charge of 250 euros. A painter made a cost offer of even 440 euros, says the injured party. The entire bonnet should be repainted right away.

The security service holds the man until the police arrive. Even before that, the Radebeuler had shouted around in front of the rifle house, mobbed and harassed passers-by. In the patrol car he kicks the door, hits his head on the side window, bites his tongue. He refuses medical treatment.

The officers assaulted him, he complained in court, claiming that the police beat him. “I was bleeding, there was blood all over the wall in the cell,” he says. In fact, he already had a bleeding wound on his arm and blood on his sweater when the police arrived. “We had to calm him down so that he wouldn’t dismantle our patrol car,” says a police officer.

Drugs from the employment office?

The officers also stole money from him, said the Radebeuler. He was missing 15 euros. But during a search, it is also recorded, the officers find only a little change in his pockets. The judge asks him why he threw the lighter. Probably out of anger, he replies. “Sometimes you have incomprehensible trains of thought when you are under alcohol,” he says. A blood alcohol test with him shows 1.44 per mille.

Alcohol alone cannot have been the reason. In the courtroom, the young man is talking weird things, for example that he is using artificial intelligence. His grandfather, who is also sitting in the hall, can no longer stand it. “He’s heavily addicted to drugs. We have been trying to get therapy for a long time, ”he says.

That really infuriates the accused. “What you’re saying is my death sentence,” he shouts. He doesn’t do drugs at all. “Because you don’t have any money,” says grandfather. And again it gets bizarre. He doesn’t even need money for drugs. There are drugs for free at the employment office, according to the defendant.

The next charge is imminent

The Radebeuler is sentenced to a fine of 1,050 euros for insulting and damaging property. It is so low because he receives unemployment benefit II. That was “everything completely wrong”, the defendant had said before the verdict was announced. After the verdict, he completely loses his temper and insults the judge in the worst possible way. Repeating the words here prohibits decency and respect. However, the prosecutor had them recorded in the record. The Radebeuler is likely to face the next charge.
