A patrol of the Brussels-Capital-Ixelles police zone had the good (or bad) idea of broadcasting a song by Claude François on Saturday to encourage people to stay at home.
While turning around the ponds of Ixelles, the car was spotted by a surfer. A few hours after its publication, comments and sharing accumulate. Internet users love the initiative.
This remix by Claude François is a creation of the youtuber Adrien Linuxtricks. Here is an excerpt from the lyrics of his song: “Stay at home, even if spring is singing …”.
A song of circumstance, certainly, which differs from the security messages broadcast by the other patrols and by the surveillance drones.
Police confirm that this is one of their patrols. “This is an initiative of one of our“ Covid-19 ”patrols aimed at attracting the attention of onlookers with a song revisited in line with current events which, by its popular air, remains in mind while providing the instructions to be followed scrupulously in order to stem the epidemic. The latter is accompanied by our official communication in three languages recalling the measures to be followed. The idea is to convey the essential message as well as possible: “stay at home as much as possible and be responsible when you travel”.
