Eefje De Visser performs during the semifinal Eurovision Song Contest: “A great honor” | Eurovision songfestival

MusicThe organization of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 has already announced some of the guest artists. For example, singer Eefje De Visser (35) will start the second semifinal together with break dancer Redo, on Thursday 20 May.

The pair promises to put on ‘a universally recognizable performance’ with dance and song. Redo will share his life story while dancing and will be supported by Eefje de Visser. She has already released several albums, with success in the Netherlands and Flanders. Last year her album ‘Bitterzoet’ peaked at the top of the Ultratop album chart. Her single ‘Onder Ons’ made it to the 18th place in the Flemish top 50, and the singer made a duet version of it together with Bazart.

“As a child, I already watched the Eurovision Song Contest a lot,” says De Visser on Songfestival.nl. “Redo and I therefore consider it an honor to be able to work together on this enormous production. Redo is a very talented dancer and has an impressive way of dancing. Our action is about resilience and connection. And we say that more can be achieved through collaboration. We need each other, especially in these times. ”

Furthermore, few guest artists are known. Despite the corona pandemic, the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place from the Ahoy in Rotterdam on Tuesday 18, Thursday 20 and Saturday 22 May. Hooverphonic will participate in the first semifinal for our country. Last year they should have taken their chance with ‘Release Me’, but that party was canceled due to the corona crisis. Because the collaboration with Luka was ended last year, Geike Arnaert will be on stage with Hooverphonic at the Eurovision Song Contest.
