[이코노믹리뷰=최진홍 기자] The US International Trade Commission (ITC) helped LG in the battery dispute between LG Energy Solution and SK Innovation. In the midst of this, Ford, which has decided to receive batteries from SK Innovation’s Georgia plant in the US, urges the two companies to voluntarily resolve disputes and draws attention.
On the 11th (local time), CEO Jim Parley, Ford’s CEO, said, “We need to voluntarily resolve the dispute,” over the ITC’s decision over the dispute between LG Energy Solutions and SK Innovation.

“I hope there is a way to bring the electric vehicle F-150 to the market,” he said. “The voluntary agreement is in the interests of the United States.”
ITC raised the hands of LG Energy Solutions in the patent dispute, while encouraging an amicable agreement on limiting SK Innovation’s import and local production for 10 years. Ford and Volkswagen only had a four-year and two-year grace period, respectively, but as uncertainties are high, the dramatic reconciliation between the two companies lifted industry risks and made it clear that it was in the interests of the US.
