Thiruvananthapuram: A ‘dry run’ to prove that the vaccine against the corona virus is ready for war. Rehearsal success ahead of vaccine distribution. The hypothetical vaccination was given in 6 hospitals in 4 districts of the state.
The rehearsal aimed to see if 25 people could be vaccinated between 9am and 11am in compliance with Kovid safety standards. The main center of the state was the Peroorkada District Model Hospital. The vaccine was originally given to health workers working here.
The information of all the health workers in the country is available in the Central Government’s Covin software. On Friday, a message was received on the phone of the health worker receiving the vaccine on the dry run about the time and the hospital. The first vaccination officer gave the sanitizer and explained the next steps.
The second vaccination officer matched the message on the health worker’s mobile and the information in Covin. He was then taken to the vaccination room. One person is vaccinated and the other is discharged only after leaving the room. Those who received the injection were kept in the observation room for 30 min. Minister K.K. Shailaja went to Peroorkada and observed the activities.
In addition to Peroorkada Hospital, dry run was conducted at Kattakada Poozhanad Primary Health Center, KIMS Hospital, Vazhathoppu Primary Health Center, Idukki, Palakkad Nemmara Community Health Center and Wayanad Kurukkanmoola Primary Health Center in Thiruvananthapuram district.
The Center has recommended that 100 people be vaccinated from 9 am to 5 pm.
That’s why 25 people took part in the dry run in 2 hours. However, all 25 were vaccinated within an hour.
