Giz China stated, like all disassembly, opening this phone cover involves removing the SIM tray on the bottom of the phone near the USB-C interface. Then you can remove all the glue from the back skin of the phone.

After that, we can remove the screw that secures the camera sensor cover. For those who are curious, Wed 11 carries the Samsung ISOCELL HMX’s 108 MP main sensor which supports OIS function. The camera features a 5 MP Samsung S5K5E9, and a 13 MP ultra-wide angle CMOS OV13B10 OmniVision module.

The main camera glass cover adopts CNC processing, while the direct macro lens uses a glass cover. This provides better optical performance but increases processing difficulty.

The components on the motherboard are all covered with heat sink VC. Also on this cover are copper foil, graphite, thermal oil, and aerogel all of which ensure proper heat dissipation. Snapdragon 888 and flash memory are covered with glue. This further increases the safety of the phone when dropped, especially in water.

Heat Dissipation Performance
There is also a video showing the hit dissipation performance smartphone this. When playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for 30 minutes in 60Hz high-definition HDR, the maximum temperature of the front of the phone was around 41 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of the back of the phone is around 40 degrees Celsius. Seeing these results, it seems that the Snapdragon 888 generates a lot of heat. If all the heat dissipation materials such as copper foil and metal shields are removed, the heating of this SoC can easily reach 80 degrees Celsius.

For the Xiaomi Mi 11, Giz China guarantees to function properly with heat control. Obviously, other manufacturers will have to do the same if they hope to use this processor. (Also read: ‘I’m an astronomy professor and aliens may be out there’ )
