The basis is a clear control application, without which music streaming is unimaginable. This miniature piece will offer the most important thing, and that is great sound.
The integrated Bit-Perfect algorithm for accurately sending data up to 192kHz / 24bit to the D/A converter really works wonders. In addition, it also has an audio analog output for connecting to any audio system without digital connectivity. So how do you best use the Wii Mini? If you own an amplifier or AV receiver that does not have a streaming application, or if you are not satisfied with it, just connect it with an optical or analog cable and you can make full use of all popular services and applications.

Among the most important are Tidal (connect), Spotify (connect), Qobuz, Deezer and Amazon Music. Internet radios such as the popular TuneIn or the increasingly popular Radio Paradise, which broadcasts in hi-res quality, were not left out either. Do you play music from your favorite application directly from your smartphone or tablet? WiiM mini also supports TIDAL Connect, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect. There is also DLNA support when playing a music collection from NAS storage.
WiiM Pro
After a positive reception not only by audio users, but also by hi-fi reviewers, the company launched a more powerful and well-equipped unit called WiiM Pro, the Czech price of which is CZK 4,390. This audio streamer already has the form of a classic audio box. Larger dimensions allowed the manufacturer to equip it with more inputs and outputs. In addition to standard digital outputs (coaxial, optical) and analog RCA, the module is equipped with a digital optical and analog input, which makes the device an interesting music center.
Even in this case, it is recommended to connect with a digital coaxial or optical cable and thus get the most out of digital music, you are limited only by the quality of the connected D/A converter. Use the analog RCA output if the existing device does not have a digital input. Even so, you get a very solid sound, unheard of in this category.
To make matters worse, the WiiM can be used as a multi-room system and sound, control the entire apartment or house with the reliable WiiM Home application. Both devices can optionally be supplemented with a remote control, which makes it easier to control the unit without the need for a smartphone or tablet.
