The Czech players played the match as well as Thursday with Sweden, which they won. Only a few minutes at the beginning of the opening period, the Finns had more of the game, otherwise the team under coach Filip Pešán was confident in front of the goalkeeper Hrachovina, dared to attack and used quick lunges into the unprepared defense of the opponent.
National debutants presented themselves in both goals. On the Czech side, Dominik Hrachovina left after the first twenty minutes with a clean account, the Finnish counterpart Rajaniemi collected. In the middle of the match, the Finns had a great chance, they played the second power play, but even this time they did not come to Hrachovina. On the other hand, Ordoš could raise again after a few minutes, but this time he didn’t mature for Rajaniemi.
In the third part, the Finns knew they had to add, otherwise they would lose again in front of their own fans. The Czech team managed to solve everything, always playing Hrachovina in the goal as the last instance.
After six minutes, the home team got the third numerical advantage, they did not use it again. In a few minutes another followed, until the end of the third period there were less than eight minutes left and the Czech defensive four still played clearly. But Lenc fouled and the Finns had twice the numerical advantage for 18 seconds. They didn’t use the home team, but they still had a classic power play. They didn’t manage it again, another torment in the home tournament.
In the 60th minute, the Finns tried the game without a goalkeeper, they played at six, but even this attempt was unsuccessful.
The Czechs will finish the tournament on Sunday from 12:30 with Russia after Thursday’s win at Sweden 3: 1 and Saturday with Finland 2: 0.
