85% of roads in the Brussels Region will pass through “zone 30”: here is the map

The 30 km / h will then be the norm, except on certain more important axes, on which the 50 km / h will remain in force. Rather than signs indicating the start of zones 30, the signs will indicate the arteries at 50 and more rarely at 70 km / h.

After discussions with municipalities and police zones, Brussels Mobility this Friday unveiled the final map of the Ville 30 of tomorrow.

“In Grenoble, we measured a drop of 27% of injured or killed in traffic after the generalization of 30km / h. From January, in Brussels, our City 30 will save lives”, said Minister of Mobility Elke Van den Brandt (Groen).
