On Tuesday afternoon (June 13), a lifeless man was discovered in the Steinbrücker pond on Dieburger Straße. A visitor to the leisure area contacted the police at around 1.30 p.m. with his observation. The dead man was rescued with the help of firefighters. According to the current state of investigation, the dead man is an 83-year-old man from Darmstadt. There are currently no indications that a criminal offense has been committed or signs that point to third-party fault as the cause of his death. The Darmstadt Criminal Investigation Department (Commissariat 10) has started investigating the precise background of what happened.
